Perbandingan Implementasi Pendidikan Agama Islam di Madrasah Aliyah dan Sekolah Menengah Atas dalam Penguatan Karakter Siswa
Abstract
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perbandingan implementasi Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) di Madrasah Aliyah (MA) dan Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) dalam penguatan karakter siswa. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya peran Pendidikan Agama Islam dalam membentuk karakter peserta didik di tengah berbagai tantangan moral dan sosial pada era modern, serta adanya perbedaan karakteristik antara lembaga pendidikan berbasis keagamaan dan sekolah umum. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian kepustakaan (library research). Data diperoleh melalui berbagai sumber, seperti buku, jurnal ilmiah, peraturan perundang-undangan, dan hasil penelitian terdahulu yang relevan. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif-komparatif untuk membandingkan implementasi PAI pada kedua lembaga pendidikan tersebut.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi PAI di Madrasah Aliyah cenderung lebih integratif dan komprehensif karena didukung oleh lingkungan yang religius, budaya sekolah yang kondusif, serta porsi pembelajaran agama yang lebih besar. Kondisi tersebut menjadikan proses internalisasi nilai-nilai karakter, seperti religiusitas, tanggung jawab, disiplin, dan akhlak mulia, dapat berjalan secara lebih optimal. Sementara itu, implementasi PAI di SMA lebih bersifat fleksibel dan kontekstual, namun penguatan karakter siswa sangat bergantung pada kreativitas guru, budaya sekolah, dan dukungan program-program pendidikan karakter. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan inovasi strategi pembelajaran PAI yang mampu mengintegrasikan aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik secara seimbang. Dengan demikian, baik Madrasah Aliyah maupun Sekolah Menengah Atas memiliki peran strategis dalam penguatan karakter siswa, meskipun masing-masing memiliki keunggulan dan tantangan yang berbeda dalam implementasinya.
