Peer Review
Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to the management Istiqra: Jurnal Hasil Penelitian must go through the following peer-review process:
- Before submitting. The author has checked for plagiarism and is free from other copyright violations.
- The manuscript that has been submitted by the author will be reviewed by the editor, especially checking and conforming to the scope and template of the journal. In this process, the editor will communicate with the author to ensure that the manuscript is suitable to be sent to reviewers or returned or rejected.
- Manuscripts that have gone through the above process. Next, it is sent to two reviewers to review the substance of the manuscript. The method used is double-blind.
- The review process carried out by the reviewer will consider the novelty, objectivity, methodology, results, conclusions, and references of the contents of the manuscript.
- Reviewers will provide suggestions for improvements and/or accept/reject the manuscript.
- The editor will decide based on the reviewer's considerations whether the manuscript meets the requirements for Istiqra Journal of Research Results.
- The decision of the Editor in chief is final.
- The entire review process is carried out fully based on OJS.
Submission of Paper
- Authors are required to send manuscripts to the management of Istiqra: Jurnal Hasil Penelitian via OJS. Istiqra: Jurnal Hasil Penelitian (uindatokarama.ac.id)
- Authors must certify that their manuscript is the author's original work.
- Authors must certify that the manuscript has not been published elsewhere.
- Authors must state that the manuscript is not currently being processed in another journal.
- Authors are not allowed to withdraw manuscripts after the peer review process until they receive notification of the status of the manuscript (rejected for publication).
- Authors must participate in the peer review process.
- The author is obliged to provide corrections for errors.
- All authors named in the manuscript must have made a significant contribution to the research.
- The author must state that all data in the manuscript is original or sourced from the author's processing.
- The author must notify the Editor of any conflict of interest (if any)
- The author must identify all sources used in the manufacture of the manuscript.
- Authors must report any errors they find in their published manuscripts to the editor.
Editorial Office Assessment
- The editorial staff checked the composition and arrangement of the manuscript based on the guidelines of the Istiqra journal authors to ensure the required scope and style of language.
- Editors have full responsibility and authority to reject or accept manuscripts.
- The editor is responsible for the content and overall quality of the publication.
- Editors must always consider the needs of authors and readers when seeking to improve publications.
- The editor must guarantee the quality of the manuscript and the integrity of academic records.
- The editor must publish error pages or make corrections when necessary.
- Editors must have a clear picture of research funding sources.
- Editors should base their decision solely on the importance, originality, clarity, and relevance of the paper to the scope of the publication.
- Editors may not reverse their decision or overturn a previous editor's decision without serious reason.
- The editor must maintain the anonymity of the reviewer.
- Editors must ensure that all research materials they publish comply with internationally accepted ethical guidelines.
- Editors should only accept manuscripts if they are reasonably sure.
- Editors must act if they suspect infringement, whether published or unpublished papers and make all reasonable efforts to persist in obtaining a resolution of the matter.
- Editors must not reject papers on suspicion, they must have evidence of wrongdoing.
- The editor must not allow any conflict of interest between staff, authors, reviewers, and board members.
Appraisal by the Editor-in-Chief (EiC)
The Lead Auditor checks whether the manuscript is original and interesting enough to be suitable for publication in the Istiqra: Jurnal Hasil Penelitian.
EiC Assigns an Editor
Istiqra: Jurnal Hasil Penelitian has a team of editors who are capable of handling peer reviews.
Invitation to Reviewers
The editor sends invitations to individuals who are believed to have the ability to review the manuscripts sent to the management Istiqra: Jurnal Hasil Penelitian. when a response is received, further invitations are issued, if necessary, until the required number of receipts is obtained. all peer-reviewed publications will be referred to in a double-blind peer review process by at least two reviewers with expertise in the relevant subject area.
Response to Invitations
- If the individual who was sent an invitation by the editor refuses because it conflicts with his expertise. He can suggest a name that can review manuscripts according to his area of expertise.
- Reviewers must keep all information regarding the manuscript confidential and treat it as privileged information.
- Reviewers must be objective, without having to make personal criticism of the author.
- Reviewers must express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
- Reviewers must identify works that are relevant for publication that have not been cited by the authors.
- Reviewers must also ask the attention of the chief editor whenever they find manuscripts that have substantially similar or overlapping manuscripts between those being considered and published manuscripts.
- Reviewers must not review manuscripts in which they have a conflict of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions associated with the paper.
Review is conducted
Reviewers are required to set aside time to read the manuscript repeatedly. the first reading is used to form an initial impression of the work. if major problems are found at this stage, the reviewer may reject the manuscript. If not, the reviewer can continue reading the manuscript, and then take notes to build a specific review on each of the more detailed points. After that, the reviewer submits the manuscript to the management of the Istigra Journal with several recommendations for acceptance, revision, or rejection. Results of the review process are usually available within one month of submission.
Editors evaluate the Reviews
The editor then considers all the reviews that have been returned by the reviewers before deciding on publication.
The Decision is communicated
The editor emails the decision to the author including the relevant reviewer's comments. the author must fix all revisions in the manuscript according to the reviewer's request. Reviewers should expect to receive the new version unless they have opted out of further participation.
Last Steps
If the manuscript is accepted, the manuscript is continued for production, the author then gets a notification. If the manuscript is rejected, the manuscript is returned to the author by including constructive comments from the reviewers and editors to help the author improve the manuscript.
