Publication Decisions
The editors of the Journal of Contemporary Economic and Business Management are responsible for deciding which submitted articles should be published. The validation of these works and their significance to researchers and readers should always drive these decisions. The journal's editorial policies may serve as a guide, and legal restrictions like those relating to plagiarism, copyright infringement, and defamation may impose restrictions on editors. Editors may consult with other editors or the review team in making these decisions.
Fair Treatment
Editors always evaluate manuscripts based on their intellectual content without discriminating against race, gender, sexual orientation, religious beliefs, ethnic background, nationality, or political philosophy of the authors.
Confidentiality
Editors and editorial staff must not disclose any information about submitted manuscripts to anyone other than the authors, expert editors, peer reviewers, and the publisher.
Notification and Conflict of Interest
Unpublished materials disclosed in submitted manuscripts should not be used in the editor's own research without clear written consent from the author.
Duties of reviewers
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review assists editors in making editorial decisions and, through editorial communication with authors, can also help authors improve their manuscripts.
Promptness
Any selected reviewer who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows that a prompt review is impossible should notify the editor and excuse themselves from the review process.
Confidentiality
Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. Without the editor's permission, you cannot show them to or discuss them with others.
Objectivity Standards
Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is not acceptable. Reviewers should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Reviewers should point out relevant published works that the author has not cited. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument has been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation. A reviewer should also bring to the editor's attention any similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.
Notification and Conflict of Interest
Information or opinions obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions associated with the paper.
Duties of Authors
Article Standards
Authors must present accurate articles about their original work and an objective discussion of its significance. Fundamental data should be represented accurately in the paper. A paper should contain sufficient detail and references to permit others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable.
Originality and plagiarism
Authors should ensure that they have written entirely original works and cited them appropriately when using others' work and/or words.
Duplicate, redundant, or concurrent publication
An author should not generally publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal or primary publication. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously is unethical and unacceptable. The Journal of Contemporary Economic and Business Management editor has the right to retract, withdraw, and cancel publications that indicate duplicate or repeated publication.
Acknowledgment of Sources
Proper acknowledgment of others' work must always be given. Authors should cite publications that have been influential in determining the nature of the work reported.
Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be limited to those who have made significant contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the study. All those who have made significant contributions should be listed as co-authors. If there are others who participated in certain substantial aspects of the research project, they should be acknowledged or listed as contributors. The corresponding author should ensure that all co-authors have seen and approved the final version of the paper and have agreed to its submission for publication.
Errors in Published Works
If an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their published work, it is their obligation to promptly notify the editor or journal publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.
