In many EFL classes in Indonesian higher education, it is common for EFL learners to be asked instead of asking questions to develop their speaking skills. Consequently, students are not adequately confident to express themselves in English. This article is aimed to investigate how the English Department (ED) students develop their speaking skills. In particular, it is to portray the ways, experiences, and challenges of the ED students regarding the progress of their spoken English. This article employed qualitative research approach while considering constructivists’ paradigm. In order to obtain in-depth information regarding the issues being investigated, this research used google form-based interviews. To reinforce the results of the interviews, face-to-face conversations were conducted along with the on-going observations of the researchers. The results of the research showed that the majority of the ED students found it difficult to speak English fluently. It further showed that many of the ED students were not able to speak due to lack of vocabularies, having lack of confidence and poor grammatical knowledge. However, where exactly the language is located and processed in the brain is yet unidentified.&nbsp; This paper, therefore, particularly discussed the relationship between language and the brain. This article was fully based&nbsp; on a library research approach therefore it is hard to explain what and how exactly language develops in the human brain in relation the early childhood education. The analysis showed that the content of thought which any normal human beings stated and expressed in the form of signs or in words both spoken and written, indicated the existence of a strong reciprocity between the brain and the language development. It further showed that in order for children to think clearly and precisely, the use of the right words is required. Likewise, the use of the right words is very helpful for thinking straight and correctly. Therefore, it is one of the skills that must be mastered by EFL learners. This article examined three different issues such as the ways of the EFL teachers teaching integrated speaking skills; the ways they assess learners’ learning progress in speaking; and the solutions and motivations required to improve learners’ speaking skills. This article employed a case study design while considering interpretive paradigm. To gain in-depth analysis, the research used face-to-face semi-structured interviews. The results of the research showed that self-reflections of the EFL teachers played a great role in helping high school EFL learners improve their speaking skills. In addition, the research also revealed that the improvement of the speaking skills of the EFL learners were strongly supported by varieties of teaching strategies, assessment modes, and motivations of the EFL teachers. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, teknik pengumpulan data melalui angket (kuesioner) dan observasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah statistik deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan bantuan program <em>IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0</em> dalam pengujian hipotesis untuk menentukan kesimpulan. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik klasifikasi random sampling. Sampel pada penelitian ini 83 peserta didik di SMA Al-Azhar Mandiri Palu. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa deskriptif keberhasilan belajar peserta didik memiliki nilai rata-rata yaitu 86 dan 52 peserta didik memiliki nilai sangat baik dengan persentase 62,65% dan 31 peserta didik memiliki nilai yang baik dengan persentase 37,35%. Kemudian analisis inferensial hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa varibel X minat berpengaruh terhadap variabel Y keberhasilan belajar dilihat dari data hasil analisis koefisien determinasi sebesar 68,5% dan &nbsp;nilai signifikansi &nbsp;0,00 ≤ α 0,05 maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa terdapat pengaruh minat terhadap keberhasilan belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam di SMA Al-Azhar Mandiri Palu.</p> Erlis Wulandari Kurniawati, Arifuddin M. This study aims to determine how the internalization of multicutural values in Sdit Insan Gemilang Sigi. This study uses qualitative methods, where researchers went directly to the field to conduct interviews with principals, teachers, and students at Sdit Insan Gemilang Sigi. The results of this study indicate that the first, the existing learning curriculum at Sdit Insan Gemilang contains multicultural values as stated in the curriculum document, namely the pluralist-minded Pai curriculum which means explaining that Islam accepts (tolerant) to various ethnic, cultural, national, and religious diversity according to the reality of life, without sacrifice the principles of aqidah that are clear, firm, and final (qoth'i). Second, the internalization of multicultural values in this school can be seen from the assessment of social attitudes among students. Based on the results of interviews, students do not see differences in tribes, they are friends with all circles without discriminating, this shows that the multicultural spirit has been embedded from an early age in students. This research used an explanatory research design. This research was conducted at the tenth grade science class of MAN 2 Parigi. The population in this research was all students at the tenth grade science class of MAN 2 Parigi for the academic year 2021/2022. In determining the sample, the researcher used simple random sampling technique of 30 students. The instrument used in data collection was multiple choice test and speaking test, and the data anlysis used simple linier regression .The research question of this research is “Is there any influence&nbsp; between students’ vocabulary mastery towards English speaking skill at the tenth grade science class of MAN 2 Parigi?”. The result of this research showed that the t-test was 4.310, while the t-table was 1.701. It means that the score of t-test was higher than t-table. It can be concluded that there was an influence between the variable students’ vocabulary mastery(X) towards English speaking skill(Y). Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted. The result of coefficient of determination test (R2), the value of R square was 0.631 showed that the independent variable was able to explain 63.1% of the influence on dependent variable, while the remaining 36.9% was explained by other independent variables that were not included in this research. Students should make optimal use of study time both at school and at home. Question dealing with how to evaluate/assess Early Childhood Education (PAUD) both for kindergarten – TK; play group – KB; and Qur’anic Recitation Group – TPA and other similar PAUD units could challenge any educational practitioner. This paper was aimed to discuss the assessment in childhood education, the aim of the assessment, techniques, and procedures as well the reports regarding the development of children. This paper was fully based on the library research. This paper was aimed to examine and elaborate data descriptively and analytically by integrating and connecting concepts, thoughts and rules regarding the issues related to the assessment in childhood education in Indonesia. The data were derived from different resources such as books, journal articles, proceedings, and handbooks that are relevant to the issues being investigated. Data collection was carried out through a process of conceptualizing and observing various phenomena in the assessment in childhood education. The implication of this paper is to inform educational stakeholders especially those in the field of early childhood education to provide a better and well-devised assessment for the early childhood education. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa problematika yang dihadapi guru pada pembelajaran di Masa Covid 19 di SMP Al-Khairaat 1 Palu adalah (1) Kurang mahirnya guru dalam mengoperasikan media dan internet. (2) Guru kesulitan memahami kondisi psikis dan fisik peserta didik. (3) Guru kesulitan dalam Menilai Afektif, Kognitif dan Psikomotorik Peserta didik. The era of society 5.0 is a learning innovation that has changed from basic literacy to digital literacy. This study aims to analyze physics&nbsp; learning innovations in class XI IPA MAN 2 Kota Palu in welcoming the era of society 5.0. The research method uses descriptive qualitative. Data analysis techniques are carried out with a review of the literature. The data collection method is carried out by observation, dissemination of questionnaires, documentation, teacher interviews, and student interviews. The research instrument consists of an observation sheet, a questionnaire, and an interview sheet. The results showed that during the era of society 5.0, teachers and students were required to be quick in making decisions and solutions when learning physics.&nbsp; Teachers must dig up information and look for new innovations so that students can think forward and follow the development of safe zaccording to the era of society 5.0.&nbsp; The teacher acts as a tutor or teacher, facilitator, and inspirer of students until the achievement of learning objectives. Penelitian ini memberikan informasi mengenai media pembelajaran yang dapat digunakan pada pembelajaran IPS khususnya untuk menghadapi perkembangan zaman yang memanfatkan teknologi sebagai penunjang kehidupan masyarakat pada <em>era society</em> 5.0. Jenis metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu kualitatif deskrfitif. Data dan informasi yang telah diperoleh, selanjutnya dikumpulkan, dianalisis, dan disimpulkan. Siswa menjadi kelompok yang sangat rawan terseret oleh arus <strong>radikalisme</strong> keagamaan. Usia yang masih sangat muda dan masih labil dengan semangat yang menyala-nyala, serta kerinduan untuk menjalankan agama secara lebih kāffah (komprehensif) membuat kelompok muda termasuk siswa beragama Islam akan menjadi kelompok sosial yang paling rentan disusupi dan menjadi sasaran dari kelompok radikal yang mendakwahkan pemahaman dan sikap keagamaan yang kaku dan cenderung dangkal. Maka perlu, strategi untuk menanamkan nilai-nilai moderat Islam ke dalam diri peserta didik dengan memanfaatkan kegiatan belajar mengajar pendidikan agama Islam di kelas. Hal ini karena faktor-faktor utama pelaku kekerasan, tindakan <strong>anarkistis</strong> dalam konflik social berlatarbelakang agama adalah kelompok-kelompok yang <strong>berafiliasi</strong> pada Islam. Artikel ini akan membahas perlakuan pendidikan yang diberikan pada usia dini yang diyakini akan terpateri kuat di dalam hati dan pikiran anak secara jernih. Dalam konteks pendidikan karakter, jika anak didik dengan baik, diberi contoh yang baik, dan dibiasakan hidup dengan nilai dan karakter yang baik, maka mereka cenderung menjadi orang yang baik yang berhati emas, berpikiran positif, dan berbudi mulia. Persoalannya adalah bagaimana mengembangkan karakter yang baik pada anak usia dini? Apa saja tema dan kegiatan yang yang relevan untuk mengembangkan karakter pada anak usia dini?&nbsp; Bagaimana melakukan asesmen perkembangan karakter pada anak usia dini? Untuk menjawab berbagai persoalan tersebut, artikel tersebut menggunakan metode penelitian berbasis <em>library research</em>. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan karakter dapat ditanamkan pada anak usia dini dengan merancang dan mengembangkan kegiatan yang relevan dengan kebutuhan, kesukaan, dan usia anak. Pendekatan saintifik merupakan pendekatan dalam pembelajaran pendidikan anak usia dini yang menggunakan kaidah ilmiah melalui tahapan observasi, menanya, mengumpulkan informasi, menalar dan mengkomunikasikan dengan tujuan membiasakan peserta didik berpikir, bersikap dan berkarya sesuai dengan kaidah ilmiah. Focus penelitian berdasarkan latar belakang di atas adalah bagaimana penerapan pendekatan saintifik pada sentra alam sekitar di Raudhatul Athfal DWP I KANWIL Departemen Agama Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah .Apa saja kendala serta solusi dalam penerapan pendekatan saintifik pada sentra alam sekitar di Raudhatul Athfal DWP I KANWIL Departemen Agama Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah. Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa Penerapan pendekatan saintifik pada sentra alam sekitar di Raudhatul Athfal DWP I KANWIL Departemen Agama Provinsi Sulawesi Tengah melalui tiga tahapan yaitu, pertama tahap persiapan,Kedua, tahap pelaksanaan. Ketiga tahap evaluasi, yaitu guru melakukan penilaian terhadap peserta didik. Kendala dalam penerapan pendekatan saintifik yaitu, pertama terbatasnya guru di dalam kelas, dengan solusi guru melakukan kerja sama dan pembagian tugas agar kegiatan pembelajaran dapat terlaksana dengan baik dan efektif. Kedua, Ada beberapa peserta didik yang karakternya pendiam, dengan solusi guru melakukan pendekatan khusus dan dibutuhkan kreatifitas guru agar peserta didik bisa kembali aktif dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran. Ketiga, terbatasnya waktu, dengan solusi guru berusaha untuk memanfaatkan waktu dengan baik berpedoman pada RPPH. Focus pada penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bentuk penerapan metode Montessori dalam mengembangkan kemampuan motorik anak dan faktor pendukung dan penghambat penerapan metode Montessori dalam Mengembangkan kemampuan motorik anak.Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi, teknis analisis data yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data, kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan atau verifikasi. Adapun Hasil dari penelitian ini penerapan metode Montessori dalam mengembangkan kemampuan motorik anak di Paud Islam Terpadu Bina Insan Palu terdiri dari dua tekhnik <em>pertama</em>, Tahap persiapan yang dilakukan guru melalui rancangan RPPH. <em>Kedua</em>, Tahap pelaksanaan dibagi menjadi tiga tahap, yaitu di tahap pertama, guru akan memperkenalkan identitas dari media atau bahan dan menjelaskan berbagai alur kegiatan. tahap kedua, dengan memperkenalkan perbandingan untuk membuat anak memahami, dan tahap ketiga ini guru menjelaskan perbedaan antara benda-benda yang serupa yang mana tahapan ini konsep pembelajaran langsung yang dibuat oleh Montessori . Sedangkan faktor pendukung adanya dukungan dari Yayasan dan lingkungan yang mendukung, faktor penghambatnya kurangnya peran orang tua dalam menstimulasi perkembangan anak dan kurangnya ruangan belajar. Penelitian penerapan metode Montessori dalam mengembangkan kemampuan motorik anak di Paud Islam Terpadu Bina Insan Palu adalah diharapkan untuk lebih mengembangkan metode Montessori ini dengan menambah ruangan belajar peserta didik. Selain itu, diharapkan sekolah mengadakan kegiatan <em>Parenting</em> yang mengikutsertakan orang tua.
