STUDI KOMPRATIF MODEL PEMBELAJARAN INTERDISIPLINER PADA MATA KULIAH PENDIDIKAN AGAMA ISLAM
Abstract
Islamic Religious Education (PAI) faces serious challenges in maintaining its relevance amidst rapid advancements in science and the complexity of global issues. Traditional learning models (monodisciplinary) often result in fragmented and less contextual religious understanding. This research aims to conduct a comparative study on the effectiveness of interdisciplinary learning models—specifically the Multidisciplinary,Interdisciplinary (Integrated), and Transdisciplinary models—as an alternative to improving the quality of PAI. Through a literature review and comparative analysis, it was found that the Transdisciplinary and Integrated models show significant superiority compared to the Multidisciplinary model in terms of enhancing critical thinking skills, contextualization of religious material, and the formation of applicable moral values (akhlak). The implementation of the Transdisciplinary model, particularly through a values-based Islamic Project-Based Learning (PBL) approach, is recommended as the main strategy for producing PAI graduates who are balanced between spiritual intelligence (Iman/Faith) and intellectual intelligence (Ilmu/Knowledge), and who possess an attitude of religious moderation (wasathiyyah).
