Abstract

Tutoring is assistance to elementary school students aimed at overcoming difficulties encountered at school. This tutoring program consists of strengthening materials and additional materials such as English. Due to the lack of teaching staff in English subjects at SDN 05, Candirenggo Village, this tutoring program was held. This activity was attended by students from grades 1 to 6 at SDN 05 Candirenggo. The location of the activity is at KKM 58's residence and is held after sunset on Monday and Tuesday for grades 1, 2, and 3 and Thursday and Friday for grades 4, 5, and 6. The methods used are lecture and game methods. As a result of this tutoring, students become more understanding and can overcome previous difficulties in the material that has been presented at school and can broaden their basic knowledge that they have not yet obtained at school. By holding this tutoring, students' motivation can grow in understanding the essence of the subject matter taught by the teacher in the classroom. From this explanation, the service team then gave suggestions to teachers to pay more attention to the needs of each student in learning. Teachers can implement guidance programs for students who need a mentoring process so that some students can be motivated to learn independently
