The method in this study uses a qualitative-descriptive method. Data was carried out using the content analysis method. The findings in this study reveal that, first, news broadcasts on the Al-Jazeera Arabic station show Arabic gender markers in terms of syntax and morphology; second, Arabic gender markers in terms of syntax are the conformity of ism mudzakkar or ism muannast in the relationship between the subject and predicate to the sentence structure and the jama' mudzakkar sālim (ون) in the state of rafa' and the jama' mudzakkar sālim (ين) in the state of nasab and jar. Meanwhile, Arabic gender markers from a morphological perspective include the inflection process with ta’ ta’nist, the inclusion of the suffix (ات) in the jama’ muannast sālim and the suffixes (ون) and (ين) in the jama’ mudzakkar sālim. From this explanation, it is revealed that Al-Jazeera Arabic news broadcasts consistently apply gender markers in Arabic both syntactically and morphologically, especially in reporting the genocide in Gaza. This study shows how linguistic choices reflect social construction and gender representation in media narratives. So that in the future we can analyze the use of gender markers in the media and its impact on audience perceptions of gender representation in conflict news.
2025-06-04T08:55:53+00:00 Copyright (c) https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/ist/article/view/3474 PANDANGAN ABDURRAHMAN WAHID TENTANG PLURALISME DALAM ISLAM: KAJIAN HADIS TEMATIK DI ERA KONTEMPORER 2025-06-04T09:21:58+00:00 Muhajirin Ajir muhajir.dty@uim-makassar.ac.id Zulfahmi Alwi zulfahmi.alwi@uin-alauddin.ac.id Arifuddin Ahmad arifuddin.ahmad@uin-alauddin.ac.id
This study examines Abdurrahman Wahid's views on pluralism in Islam through a thematic hadith approach. Using a qualitative literature method, it analyzes Wahid's thoughts and relevant hadith texts. The findings show that Wahid sees pluralism as an essential Islamic teaching that promotes respect for diversity and fair treatment without discrimination. He emphasized religious freedom as a fundamental human right, aligning with la ikraha fid-din (no compulsion in religion). Wahid also advocated for protecting non-Muslim rights and fostering equality by interpreting Islam inclusively as rahmatan lil 'alamin (a blessing for the universe). His initiatives, such as recognizing Confucianism as an official religion in Indonesia, aimed at building a tolerant society. Wahid connected pluralism with universal values like justice, compassion, and brotherhood (ukhuwah insaniyah), rejecting exclusivism and urging Muslims to prioritize shared human values over religious differences. The novelty of this study lies in its thematic hadith analysis of Wahid’s pluralism, revealing how Islamic teachings support religious freedom, justice, and equality. It also highlights the application of these values in Indonesia’s social policies and discourse. The findings recommend strengthening inclusive Islamic discourse in education and da'wah to instill pluralism. Additionally, social policies should further protect minority rights and enhance regulations promoting justice and equality, fostering harmony in a multicultural society.
2025-06-04T09:11:05+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Muhajirin Ajir, Zulfahmi Alwi, Arifuddin Ahmad https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/ist/article/view/3431 SEJARAH DAKWAH PANRITA KITTA 2025-06-04T09:27:26+00:00 Salsabila Salsabilaros98@gmail.com
This study discusses the role and influence of Panrita Kitta in the process of Islamization in Sinjai in the 17th century. This type of research is library research using several historical, religious, and sociological approaches. The methods used in the study are heuristics, source criticism, interpretation, and historiography. The results of the study show the method of preaching, community responses, and the impact of Islamization on the development of local religion and culture. This study discusses more deeply the religious and cultural transformation of Sinjai in the 17th century. The pioneering Panrita of Islam in Sinjai in the 17th century focused on the reconstruction of the development of Islamic law. The influential Panrita were Puang Belle, Puatta Masabangnge, Tuanta Yusufu, To Maeppe Daeng Situncu, Syekh Ibrahim Rahmat, Wali Pute, To Palekke, Abdul Rahman Lamatti, Puang Janggo, and Puang Topekkong. From these findings, it is shown that the Islamization strategy implemented by Panrita Kitta prioritizes a cultural and Sufism approach, which is still relevant in the context of contemporary preaching. Unlike previous studies that only highlight historical aspects, this study also reveals the religious and cultural transformation of Sinjai in more depth, providing new insights into the study of Islamization in South Sulawesi, so that it is hoped that in the future it can focus on the relevance of Panrita Kitta's preaching with the current development of Islam, then can explore more in-depth historical sources, as well as comparisons with Islamization in other regions.
2025-06-04T09:18:56+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Salsabila https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/ist/article/view/3861 DINAMIKA HUKUM DAN SOSIAL KASUS PERCERAIAN AKIBAT “KDRT” DI PENGADILAN AGAMA ARSO KABUPATEN KEEROM PROVINSI PAPUA 2025-06-04T09:37:07+00:00 Musrifah musrifahsyarifah@gmail.com Faisal faisalsaleh329@gmail.com Moh Wahib wahibstainjaya@gmail.com
This study aims to analyze the legal factors that influence the decision of victims of domestic violence (DV) to choose divorce rather than criminal law. In addition, this study evaluates the implementation of Law Number 23 of 2004 concerning the Elimination of Domestic Violence (UU PKDRT) in providing protection to victims. The method used in this study is field research with a normative legal and normative theological approach. Data collection techniques are carried out through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis, while data analysis techniques use qualitative descriptive methods to understand how the law is implemented in cases of divorce due to DV. The results of the study indicate that victims of DV prefer divorce because of the long criminal law process, minimal legal support for victims, and social pressure that considers DV as a family matter. The main obstacles in accessing justice include bias from law enforcement officers, limited evidence of non-physical violence, and lack of protection facilities such as safe houses. The novelty of this study lies in the analysis of the role of judges in deciding cases of DV divorce and identifying the need for legal reform to be more in favor of victims. Recommendations for future research include increasing the capacity of legal officers, educating the public about victims' rights, and integrating legal and psychosocial services to support victims in obtaining justice.
2025-06-04T09:33:57+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Musrifah, Faisal, Moh Wahib https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/ist/article/view/3430 MASJID TUA LANGGARA KABUPATEN ENREKANG 2025-06-05T08:37:54+00:00 IRNO irnoanugrah05@gmail.com
This study explores the forms of acculturation between local culture and Islamic values as manifested in the architectural design and social functions of the Langgara Old Mosque in Enrekang Regency. The mosque serves not only as a place of worship but also as a cultural center that reflects the harmonious integration of Islamic teachings and indigenous traditions. Employing a qualitative field research methodology supported by historical, archaeological, anthropological, and theological approaches, data were collected through direct observation, interviews, documentation, photovoice, and literature review. The findings reveal that cultural and religious acculturation is evident in the mosque's physical structure, which resembles the traditional Sapo Bottoa house; the use of local materials such as wood, bamboo, and ijuk; and the incorporation of Islamic symbols such as the dome and the bedug, which have undergone Islamization in meaning. Furthermore, the mosque functions as a cultural hub where community traditions such as Maccerang Manurung, Matammu Bulan, and Mi’cing Malillin Sola Mi’cing Mariwang are regularly practiced. These traditions not only preserve local cultural expressions but also embody Islamic values such as gratitude, unity, and spiritual reflection, positioning the mosque as a medium for the integration of belief and culture. These findings indicate that the Langgara Old Mosque symbolizes the resilience of local Islamic identity amid the pressures of modernization and globalization. Therefore, a structured revitalization of Tondon's traditional activities is necessary to institutionalize them as annual cultural programs that are educational, spiritual, and culturally reinforcing for the community of Enrekang Regency.
2025-06-05T08:14:58+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 IRNO
