Conducted through a survey with 410 undergraduates from three universities offering library and information science programs, data was collected via questionnaires and analysed descriptively and inferentially. Findings revealed predominant usage of library resources via the university library, departmental library, and electronic databases, including journals, OPAC, textbooks, databases and projects/theses. Students acknowledged the usefulness of these resources in research projects, knowledge acquisition, learning quality, and assignments. Common study habits encompassed post-lecture review, utilising breaks for study, minimizing distractions and prioritise academic commitments over social activities. Statistical analyses showcased significant correlations and indicated that independent variables collectively influenced 48.3% of observed variations in study habits. Observation was used to determine the types of reference services and it was found that five (5) out of seven (7) reference services are provided in the library. these include CAS, user educator, Reprographic services, select dissemination of information, computerized reference sources and it was discovered that purpose of using reference section is that it enhancing the use of the resources and services of the library, it save precious time of the readers, supporting research and learning, leisure and recreation and it helps readers in locating the sources of information relevant to their needs, the study further discovered that referral services, Selective Dissemination of Information (SDI) Current awareness services, and Photocopying services that are used on a daily basis while it also discovered that inability of reference librarians to utilize new technologies to provide reference services, lack of policy implementation, lack of policy implementation, inadequate qualified staff and poor internet connectivity were the major problems affecting the provision of reference services. A qualitative research method with a case study approach was employed, involving direct observation and semi-structured interviews with librarians and the head librarian of SMPN 10 Jakarta. Observations were conducted during two visits in March 2024. The results indicate that the implementation of SLiMS enhanced the library's operational efficiency, particularly in collection management and circulation service quality. The increased speed and accuracy of circulation transactions contributed to improved user satisfaction. Enhanced information accessibility through the Online Public Access Catalog (OPAC) facilitated user autonomy in information retrieval. Primary challenges included technical constraints and limited librarian understanding, which were addressed through intensive training and ongoing support. In conclusion, the application of library automation at SMPN 10 Jakarta has positively impacted the teaching-learning process and students' literacy development, aligning with the demands of the Society 5.0 era. This research contributes to the development of an automation implementation model that can be adapted by other school libraries in Indonesia.</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi automasi perpustakaan pada SMPN 10 Jakarta di Era Society 5.0 menggunakan Senayan Library Management System (SLiMS). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus, melibatkan observasi langsung dan wawancara semi-terstruktur dengan pustakawan dan kepala pustakawan SMPN 10 Jakarta. Observasi dilakukan dalam dua kunjungan pada bulan Maret 2024. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi SLiMS meningkatkan efisiensi operasional perpustakaan, terutama dalam pengelolaan koleksi dan kualitas layanan sirkulasi. Peningkatan kecepatan dan akurasi transaksi sirkulasi berkontribusi pada peningkatan kepuasan pengguna. Peningkatan aksesibilitas informasi melalui OPAC memfasilitasi kemandirian pengguna dalam penelusuran informasi. Tantangan utama meliputi kendala teknis dan keterbatasan pemahaman pustakawan, yang diatasi melalui pelatihan intensif dan pendampingan berkelanjutan. Kesimpulannya, penerapan automasi perpustakaan di SMPN 10 Jakarta memberikan dampak positif pada proses belajar-mengajar dan pengembangan literasi siswa, sejalan dengan tuntutan era Society 5.0. Against the backdrop of challenges in increasing participation and utilization of library services, this research identifies various effective approaches to expand reach and improve user engagement. The methods employed include leveraging digital technologies, such as social media and library applications, as well as organizing promotional activities involving the academic community. The results of these strategies demonstrate that an integrated and responsive approach not only increases user awareness of library services but also facilitates access to information resources. These findings provide valuable insights for developing more effective promotional strategies, with the aim of optimizing engagement and accessibility for all users within the university environment.</p> <p><strong>Abstrak</strong></p> <p>Penelitian ini membahas strategi promosi untuk meningkatkan keterlibatan dan aksesibilitas di Perpustakaan Universitas Megarezky Makassar. Dengan latar belakang tantangan dalam meningkatkan partisipasi dan pemanfaatan layanan perpustakaan, penelitian ini mengidentifikasi berbagai pendekatan efektif untuk memperluas jangkauan dan meningkatkan keterlibatan pengguna. Metode yang diterapkan meliputi pemanfaatan teknologi digital, seperti media sosial dan aplikasi perpustakaan, serta penyelenggaraan kegiatan promosi yang melibatkan komunitas akademik. Hasil dari strategi ini menunjukkan bahwa pendekatan yang terintegrasi dan responsif tidak hanya meningkatkan kesadaran pengguna tentang layanan perpustakaan tetapi juga mempermudah akses ke sumber daya informasi.
