This study develops a conceptual framework on the influence of Work-Life Balance (WLB) and Work Engagement (WE) on employee performance, with an empirical focus on BSI Palu. The literature indicates that WLB helps employees balance work and personal life, positively affecting productivity, whereas WE reflects emotional attachment, dedication, and energy that enhance service quality and performance. The proposed model positions WLB and WE as determinants of employee performance, contributing to the literature by extending the Job Demands–Resources Model to Islamic banking. Practically, this suggests that BSI should implement HR policies that strengthen WLB and WE to improve competitiveness and sustainability. This conceptual framework can serve as a foundation for future studies.
Fauzan Almahdali Copyright (c) 2025 Fauzan Almahdali https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/iciis/article/view/4354 Mon, 20 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 The Effect of Personal Branding, Service Innovation, and Empathy Maps on the Satisfaction of Digital Loan Customers Mediated by Trust in Pre-Retirement and Retirement Loan Products https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/iciis/article/view/4356
Digital lending services for pre-retirement and retirement loan products are emerging as a crucial support for civil servants approaching pension in Central Sulawesi. This study examines how personal branding, service innovation, and the use of empathy maps influence customer satisfaction in digital lending, with customer trust as a mediating variable. A quantitative survey of 100 respondents in Central Sulawesi (2023–2025) was conducted and analyzed using PLS-SEM. The results indicate that personal branding, service innovation, and empathy maps each have a positive and significant effect on customer trust and satisfaction. Customer trust also positively affects satisfaction and partially mediates the relationship between those factors and satisfaction. The proposed model explains a substantial portion of variance in trust and satisfaction. These findings highlight the importance of building a strong personal brand, continuously innovating services, and adopting empathetic approaches to improve customer trust and satisfaction in digital loan services for the pre-retirement and retirement segment.
Freddy Herdian Copyright (c) 2025 Freddy Herdian https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/iciis/article/view/4356 Mon, 20 Oct 2025 06:49:32 +0000 Building Digital Transformation: The Role of Digital Leadership and Digital Innovation in the Performance of Employees at The Ministry of Religious Affairs of Central Sulawesi https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/iciis/article/view/4357
Digital transformation is a strategic issue in organizational management, including Indonesia’s public sector. The Ministry of Religious Affairs in Central Sulawesi is adopting digital technologies through programs such as PUSAKA SuperApp and SIMKAH, yet faces barriers such as low digital literacy, limited infrastructure, and employee resistance. This conceptual article examines the role of digital leadership and digital innovation in driving transformation and its impact on employee performance. Using a literature-based conceptual approach that integrates Upper Echelons Theory, organizational transformation, and digital innovation, the study highlights that digital leadership shapes organizational direction and culture, while digital innovation mediates the link between leadership and transformation through practical solutions. Successful digital transformation enhances productivity, efficiency, and service quality. Academically, this study broadens the discourse on bureaucratic digitalization in developing countries, while practically, it offers recommendations for leadership strategies, fostering innovation, and improving civil servants’ digital literacy to achieve effective and responsive governance.
Herna Deswarti Copyright (c) 2025 Herna Deswarti https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/iciis/article/view/4357 Mon, 20 Oct 2025 07:20:39 +0000 Productive Waqf and Efforts to Renew Waqf Law in the Jasser Auda System Approach https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/iciis/article/view/4358
Productive waqf represents a new paradigm of Islamic philanthropy that shifts the focus from passive asset maintenance to active asset development, aiming to maximize the socio-economic benefits of the community. This transformation inherently demands a reform of traditional waqf law, which tends to be conservative. This article analyzes efforts to reform waqf law, particularly regarding the diversification of waqf objects and management flexibility, through the lens of Jasser Auda's Systems Approach . The analysis shows that productive waqf aligns with Auda's Purposefulness feature , which reconstructs the Maqasid of Sharia from protection to development . This approach justifies the expansion of waqf objects (e.g., cash waqf and intellectual property rights) and provides a philosophical foundation for Istibdal (change of function) to realize the welfare of the community in a holistic and sustainable manner. Furthermore, the use of this systems approach is important in managing waqf investment risks, which is a logical consequence of the development -oriented paradigm.
Mohammad Fauzan Copyright (c) 2025 Mohammad Fauzan https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/iciis/article/view/4358 Mon, 20 Oct 2025 07:38:15 +0000 Implementation of Sharia Good Governance through Non-Cash Payment Systems https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/iciis/article/view/4359
This study aims to explore the implementation of a cashless payment system at the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia in the Central Sulawesi region and its relationship to the implementation of Sharia-based good governance. Using a qualitative approach and phenomenological methodology, this study explores the subjective experiences of stakeholders directly involved in the management and implementation of the cashless payment system. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with heads of work units, Commitment Making Officers (PPK), State Treasurers, and Sharia economic experts, as well as field observations to understand the practical implementation of this system. The results indicate that the implementation of a cashless payment system can improve administrative efficiency and transparency in financial management, which aligns with the principles of good governance, such as accountability and transparency. However, this study also identified significant challenges, including limited digital infrastructure and technological literacy in some regions, which hamper wider implementation. Furthermore, although this system supports Sharia values in terms of reducing transactions containing elements of riba (usury) and maysir (gambling), there is still room for improved oversight to ensure transactions are completely free from practices that are inconsistent with Sharia principles. In conclusion, the implementation of a non-cash payment system has great potential to support Sharia-based good governance in the public sector, but requires strengthening infrastructure, training, and stricter supervision to ensure its success.
Ulyani Ulyani, Muh. The results show that WCM is a growing research field with a primary focus on working capital efficiency, the cash conversion cycle (CCC), and corporate profitability. The study identified that the majority of contributions come from authors and institutions in Europe and Asia, with a significant increase in international collaboration. Furthermore, there is a shift in research themes towards investment, banking, sustainability, and digitalization. While the WCM literature is well-established, this study highlights the need to delve deeper into the MSME sector, emerging markets, and the integration of behavioral and managerial strategic perspectives. These findings provide a strong foundation for future research directions that are more multidisciplinary and contextual.
Nuriatullah Nuriatullah Copyright (c) 2025 Nuriatullah Nuriatullah https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/iciis/article/view/4360 Tue, 21 Oct 2025 00:00:00 +0000 How is the digital maturity level of MSMEs in Sigi Regency analyzed using the Digital Capability Maturity Model (DCMM)? https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/iciis/article/view/4361
This study aims to analyze the digital maturity level of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Kabobona Village, Sigi Regency, using the Digital Capability Maturity Model (DCMM) framework. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed to examine the implementation of digital marketing and the factors influencing digital transformation in rural areas. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving MSME actors who actively use social media platforms such as Facebook and WhatsApp. The findings indicate that most MSMEs are at the Emerging and Established levels, primarily using social media as a promotional tool. However, their efforts are not yet integrated into a comprehensive digital strategy. Key enabling factors include ease of access, low cost, and community support, while the main barriers are limited infrastructure, low digital literacy, and inadequate human resource capacity. These findings underscore the relevance of the DCMM framework for mapping MSMEs’ digital readiness and highlight its applicability in Indonesia's rural economy. The study also emphasizes the importance of social capital, local innovation, and institutional support in accelerating digital maturity. The results are expected to serve as a foundation for policymakers and stakeholders in designing strategies to strengthen digital capacity and infrastructure, thereby promoting an inclusive and sustainable digital economic transformation.
Wianda. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data were collected via in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation involving incubator managers and MSME participants. The data analysis applied Miles and Huberman’s interactive model, including data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing. Findings indicate that the IPO model is implemented systematically and effectively. At the input stage, success factors include competent human resources, supportive local government policies, cross-sector partnerships, and the integration of digital technology. In the process stage, MSME development is driven by empowerment, mentoring, and innovation, with a focus on managerial capacity, legal compliance, product branding, and digital transformation. The output stage shows increased performance, income, product quality, and market access among participants. From the Islamic economic lens, program success transcends financial outcomes, emphasizing values like shiddiq (honesty), ‘adl (justice), and maslahah (benefit). These principles have fostered ethical business practices and social responsibility, promoting a balance between material success and spiritual well-being. The study concludes that the IPO model serves as a practical evaluative tool for incubation programs and can be effectively aligned with Islamic economic principles to foster sustainable, inclusive MSME growth. These insights contribute to the development of value-based incubation models tailored to regional contexts.
Maharani. K.A.T, Meysa Labay, Syaifullah. The method used is qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews, and documentation, involving the Village Head, Director of BUMDes, Chair of Pokdarwis, and the local community. The results of the study show that the halal tourism management model in Kaleke Village with a collaborative governance approach is reflected in the synergy of various local actors such as BUMDes, Pokdarwis, village government, religious leaders, and the community. This collaboration forms the basis for a participatory halal tourism management system. However, institutional weaknesses and limited collaborative capacity are still evident, mainly due to the absence of clear halal regulations and guidelines, as well as limited infrastructure and halal services that are not yet certified. As a result, collaborative work patterns remain informal and suboptimal. Therefore, institutional strengthening, halal regulations, certification, human resource capacity building, and government policy support are needed to realize professional and sustainable halal tourism destinations in developing the local economy.
Ahmad Haekal, Jeris Yola Aprilia, Wardatul Ulum, Anggun Calcio, Mohammad Rafiq, Anwar Zainuddin, Muhammad Syarif Nurdin Copyright (c) 2025 Ahmad Haekal, Jeris Yola Aprilia, Wardatul Ulum, Anggun Calcio, Mohammad Rafiq, Anwar Zainuddin, Muhammad Syarif Nurdin https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/iciis/article/view/4364 Wed, 22 Oct 2025 00:22:41 +0000 “Montolutusan-Mondopulian” A Local Cultural Wisdom as a Media to Bond the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia Based on Ethnographic Communication Discourse Analysis. https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/iciis/article/view/4365
This paper examines the development of modern society, influenced by information technology, which presents both challenges and opportunities for the preservation of local culture. Globalization and information, as the gateway to the third millennium, have captivated every Indonesian citizen seeking freedom, seeking hedonistic and materialistic trends for temporary pleasure, while lacking awareness that social reality is slowly becoming fragile. Traditional practices considered rooted in Indonesian culture are being shaken by the impact of globalization. The Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), comprising diverse ethnicities, cultures, and languages, feels disturbed by modern civilization. Similarly, the diversity of ethnicities, languages, and cultures in Central Sulawesi Province, particularly in its three sister regencies: Banggai Regency, Banggai Kepulauan Regency, and Banggai Laut Regency, is evident. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that all the slogans, mottos, principles of the Banggai people; "Montolutusan" and "Mondopulian" or similar, although they do not have the same essence as a way of life that exists in the territory of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) is one of the media of local cultural wisdom that must be maintained, guarded, preserved and socialized as a system against the onslaught of globalization-information and liberalization that can hit and dispel the tranquility, peace and welfare of all Indonesian people as stated in the results of the analysis of table 3, table 4 and table 5.
Rustam Rustam, Rusli Takunas, Hairudin Cikka Copyright (c) 2025 Rustam Rustam, Rusli Takunas, Hairudin Cikka https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/iciis/article/view/4365 Wed, 22 Oct 2025 00:46:47 +0000 Exploring the Potential of Professional Zakat among Digital Content Workers: A Study on Facebook Pro Creators in Rarampadende Village, Sigi Regency https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/iciis/article/view/4366
This study investigates the potential of professional zakat among digital workers who earn income through Facebook Pro monetization in Rarampadende Village, Dolo Barat District, Sigi Regency. The emergence of digital professions such as content creators, YouTubers, and social media influencers has transformed the modern economy, presenting new challenges and opportunities for Islamic financial obligations, particularly zakat. Using an empirical legal approach combined with qualitative descriptive analysis, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation involving local Facebook Pro content creators. The findings reveal that despite having considerable income potential, most digital workers lack awareness regarding the obligation of zakat on their professional earnings. The implementation of the Fatwa Ijtima’ Ulama Komisi Fatwa Se-Indonesia VIII No. 04/VIII/2024 concerning zakat on digital income provides a relevant framework for guiding these professions toward compliance with Islamic law. The study concludes that digital zakat has significant potential to enhance socio-economic justice if effectively managed through institutional and technological integration.
Sitti Aisya, Sindy Pratiwi, Nadia Nadia Copyright (c) 2025 Sitti Aisya, Sindy Pratiwi, Nadia Nadia https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/iciis/article/view/4366 Wed, 22 Oct 2025 01:05:56 +0000 Social Dynamics in Education: The Role of Schools as Agents of Social Change in The Digital Era https://jurnal.uindatokarama.ac.id/index.php/iciis/article/view/4368
This study examines the role of secondary schools as agents of social change in the digital era, focusing on the social dynamics that occur within the educational context of Palu City.
