Guidance Counselor Strategies For Instilling Character Education In The Prevention Of Bullying Behavior Among Students In Elementary Schools
Abstract
This study shows the important role of guidance counselors in instilling character education and preventing bullying behavior among elementary school students. Guidance counselors use strategies such as individual counseling, group counseling, and extracurricular activities to instill character education and prevent bullying behavior. Effective character education can help increase students' awareness and empathy towards others, thereby reducing bullying behavior. Factors that influence bullying behavior among elementary school students include a lack of character education, a lack of parental supervision, and an unfavorable school environment. Guidance counselors play an important role in instilling character education and preventing bullying behavior among elementary school students, so they need to be given adequate training and support to improve their skills.
