Effectiveness of Technology-Based Curriculum Development in Higher Education
Abstract
This research examines the effectiveness of technology-based curriculum development in higher education in improving student competencies and the relevance of education to the demands of the digital era. The main objectives of the study were to analyze the development process, evaluate the effectiveness, and identify the challenges of technology-based curriculum implementation. Using a mixed-methods approach, the study combined quantitative analysis of student survey and academic data with in-depth interviews and qualitative observations. The sample was purposively drawn from several universities that have implemented a technology-based curriculum. The results showed that technology-based curriculum development significantly improved students' digital skills and work readiness. However, challenges such as infrastructure readiness, lecturer competence, and technology access gaps were also found. This research provides strategic recommendations for optimizing the development and implementation of technology-based curriculum in higher education, and highlights the importance of continuous evaluation and adaptation of the curriculum to the latest technological developments.
