Abstract

This article discusses the future prospects of Islamic studies and research in the digital era. In the era of globalization and digital technology, access to information and knowledge has become easier and faster. Therefore, this article focuses on how digital technology can be used as a tool to develop Islamic studies and research. There are three main components that need to be considered in mapping the future of Islamic studies and research in the digital era: the use of digital technology in the teaching and learning process, the development of Islamic content digitally, and global collaboration to strengthen Islamic research. This article also considers the challenges and opportunities faced in developing Islamic studies and research in the digital era, such as conflicts of interest, data security and privacy, as well as infrastructure and human resource limitations. Therefore, this article is expected to provide a clear perspective and possible solutions to promote quality Islamic studies and research in a digital context.
