Akhlak Aqidah Education in Forming Discipline of Class X MA Alkhairat Tanjung Padang Students

Abstract

In moral education the criteria of right and wrong to then judge the actions that appear refer to the Koran and Assunah as the highest source of Islamic teachings. Thus moral education is carried out as moral education in Islamic education discourse. This study aims to: (1) find out the role of the teacher of aqidah morals in shaping discipline at MA Alkairat Tanjung Padang (2) to find out the supporting and inhibiting factors in building student discipline. This study uses a descriptive qualitative research type conducted at MA Alkhairat Tanjung Padang, the subject of this research is a teacher of moral creed, the research informants are school principals, aqidah moral teacher, other teachers and students, the data collection method used in this research is observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that in building student discipline, aqidah moral teachers have an active role both outside and inside the classroom, the teacher's way of building student discipline is by instilling positive values with general habits such as greeting, speaking kind and polite words according to teaching and learning activities in the classroom and in the school environment. This study discusses the education of aqidah morals in shaping student discipline at Madrasah Aliyah Alkhairat Tanjung Padang. As for what is the focus of the problem, namely how teachers provide aqidah moral education in shaping student discipline at MA Alkhairat Tanjung Padang. In this type of research, the author uses a qualitative descriptive approach, that is, all the data that has been collected is then processed by selecting data with the intention of obtaining quality. Furthermore, the data collection techniques that the authors carried out in the field were through observation, interviews and documentation then data analysis techniques, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification.
