The Role of Majelis Taklim in Improving the Understanding of the Aqidah of Ahlussunnah Wal Jama'ah (Case Study: Jama'ah of the Syahamah Taklim Palu)

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of the majlis taklim in improving the understanding of ahlussunnah wal jama'ah creed for the people of Majelis Taklim Syahamah (syabab ahlussunnah wal jama'ah) at Palu City, Central Sulawesi. The discusses or problem  are: first, what are the understanding of the jama'ah about the ahlussunnah wal jama'ah creed before studying at Syahamah?. Second, how the role of Majelis taklim Syahamah in improving the understanding of the ahlussunnah wal Jama'ah creed in the Majelis Taklim Syahamah?. Third, what are the form of increasing the understanding of the ahlussunnah wal jama'ah creed after after studying at the Majelis Taklim Syahamah?

This type of research was included in the type of qualitative research in the form of field research. The data collected through direct observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used a qualitative descriptive method with the analysis process of data reduction, data presentation, data verification, and checking the validity of the data.
