The Urgence Of Library In Supporting Learning In High School At The Al-Istiqamah Ngatabaru Modren Islamic Boarding School
Abstract
This research discusses the Urgency of Libraries in Supporting Learning in Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Pondok Pesantren Modern Al-Istiqamah Ngatabaru, Qualitative methods are used as this research approach which is oriented towards phenomena or symptoms that are natural in nature and are carried out to produce objective data with events that occur at the research location and do not require hypotheses of a natural nature guess-guessing. The results of the research conducted showed that the library at Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Pondok Pesantren Modern Al-Istiqamah Ngatabaru in supporting student learning became a very important learning tool. The results of this study are; (1) The school library is very important in supporting student learning, especially in madrasah Aliyah (MA) Pondok Pesantren Modern Al-Istiqamah Ngatabaru; (2) In carrying out its duties as one of the main components in library learning, it still has obstacles including; (1) Lack of operational funds for the management and development of school libraries; (2) There is still a lack of library book collections; (3) Lack of a personal who is able to manage the library optimally. The solutions to the various obstacles above are; (1) The operational funds for the management and development of the library shallbe addressed by cooperating with the School Committee; (2) To complete the collection of books that are still lacking, it may be completed by sending a proposal for assistance in adding library collections to the regional library or the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
